![]() This season also introduces us to some new characters. As the viewer, we are seeing these characters, individually, come into their own for the first time resulting in each of them having to confront their own truth and/or their own past. Max (Sadie Sink), however, has become increasingly solitary, barely interacting with anyone in the group or anyone in general, as she comes to terms with the trauma and grief of losing her brother, Billy. They continue to have a great rapport and it’s enjoyable watching them work together at a video store. Steve (Joe Keery) and Robin’s ( Maya Hawke) friendship is still going strong even if Steve still has lingering feelings for her. Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, and Gaten Matarazzo Nancy (Natalia Dyer) is now the editor of the school paper while her boyfriend Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) is trying to figure out what to do with his life when he’s not stoned. Meanwhile, back at Hawkins, Mike ( Finn Wolfhard) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) are still dedicated to D&D, while Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) has begun to find himself drawn to the more popular crowd, a contentious situation that’s explored more as the season progresses. Eleven/Jane (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) have begun to acclimate themselves to their new school, which, unfortunately, comes with new bullies. Having moved her kids, along with Eleven, to a new area outside of Hawkins, Joyce (Winona Ryder) is now a telemarketer, a job that allows her to work from home and keep an eye on her kids. The series wastes no time in showing where our beloved characters are now after the devastating events that took place at the end of Season 3. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down. ![]() Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. ![]() So as to not accidentally reveal any spoilers, I’ve turned to the official synopsis for Season 4 of STRANGER THINGS: It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins.
